I have been wanting to play with QT apps for forever it seems like, now the chance to finally do so is nearly at hand.Storm Dragonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16546716223180680286noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-317934362601129555.post-15788446535887003752011-03-14T15:57:36.764-06:002011-03-14T15:57:36.764-06:00Great to see progress on this front!!!!

I myself am a blind Linux user and I've wished for a very long time now to use some of the apps that use the qt widgets. I'm particularly interested in a lot of the music apps. They seem great. Blind folks are pretty big in music and have been for thousands of years going back to Homer with recent examples being guys like Andrea Bocelli, Ray Charles, Stevy Wonder, Joaquin Rodrigo and Jeff Healey. In fact, the guy who invented Braille was himself a musician. It is nice to think that wonderful tools like Rosegarden will be within reach of blind musicians who prefer Linux as their operating system and are no longer compelled to shell out so much cash for stuff like Sound Forge in Windows. I'm also hoping to try KDE out some day. I've heard so many wonderful things about it as a desktop but haven't ever been able to try it out.

Best Regards,
Alex M
User of Vinux 3.0
http://www.vinux-project.org
ps I bet other users of Vinux would be willing to try this thing out too if asked. Many are new enough to Linux to not be entrenched in one particular desktop as of yet.Alex Mhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01662655305448325646noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-317934362601129555.post-13541310426390741272011-03-04T15:25:30.250-07:002011-03-04T15:25:30.250-07:00It's packaged in KDE:Qt in the openSUSE build ...It's packaged in KDE:Qt in the openSUSE build service now. Will Stephensonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07441626468992805412noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-317934362601129555.post-6711865855471467962011-03-03T15:08:23.141-07:002011-03-03T15:08:23.141-07:00That is absolutely awesome news and I know quite a...That is absolutely awesome news and I know quite a few ppl who will be excited about this ;-)Jos Poortvliethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05243886270488333877noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-317934362601129555.post-38569808444319098882011-03-02T07:33:44.471-07:002011-03-02T07:33:44.471-07:00Great news.
